Should I open a binance wallet?

To fund Polymarket and other betting sites. I have opened a binance account however I see there's an option to have a pockets. Is my money any safer if I exploit the pockets function or it doesn't matter if I've a wallet or not? For now I gained't be trading crypto as I discover it too difficult.
